The following are the 12 football teams making up the Scottish Premier League for 2009-2010. They are presented here in order of their finishing place in the 2008-2009 season, with league champions Rangers first and newly promoted side St. Johnstone last. Listed for each team is their home stadium and city, and the domestic and European trophies they have won.

Rangers

  • Stadium: Ibrox, Glasgow
  • Domestic titles: 52 league championships, 33 Scottish Cups, 25 League Cups
  • European titles: 1 European Cup-Winners Cup (1972)

Celtic

  • Stadium: Celtic Park, Glasgow
  • Domestic titles: 42 league championships, 34 Scottish Cups, 14 League Cups
  • European titles: 1 European Cup (1967)
